Women in Leadership
Women in Hospitality & Tourism is undergoing a dynamic rebranding, transitioning from its traditional annual event format to a more focused and engaging experience known as Women in Leadership. This new structure is for aspiring and current leaders, and will feature two half-day sessions each year—one in the fall and one in the spring—allowing for deeper exploration of specific, timely topics within the industry.
By concentrating on targeted themes, the series aims to offer more tailored insights and actionable strategies, fostering a vibrant, year-round dialogue among professionals. This rebranding reflects a commitment to providing ongoing support and networking opportunities for women in the hospitality and tourism industry, ensuring a more impactful and sustained engagement with the issues that matter most.

When women find the courage to speak their minds and use their voice to express the ideas and perspectives from their inner world to the world outside, they take a bold step in making a positive impact. By letting go of the fear of what others may think as well as the expectations of how others should behave, they can free themselves of the obstacles that are holding them back from stepping up and speaking up.
The landscape of women in leadership roles and the workplace in general has been steadily improving, yet challenges and obstacles continue to exist and persist. Whether you are just beginning your career or are a seasoned veteran, this workshop will help you own and leverage the power of your voice to increase self-confidence and credibility, communicate more effectively, and collaborate with influence.
In this workshop you will identify and reframe limiting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors you may be experiencing and unintentionally expressing that could be holding you back. You will also learn effective vs ineffective verbal and non-verbal communication styles to recognize how what you are conveying may or may not be received as intended. Lastly, you will set a simple goal and commit to your best next steps for effectively incorporating confident, impactful communication into your leadership style, approach, and ongoing development.
