Vinnie Spiotti

Instructor

Vinnie Spiotti, an Eagle Scout and Penn State graduate in Outdoor Recreation, has built his career in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. He spent a decade at the Mount Washington Hotel and Bretton Woods Ski Area, serving as Director of Activities and Events, Ski Patrol Director, and later Assistant Manager. He then dedicated 29 years to the Appalachian Mountain Club, primarily as Operations Director, overseeing lodging, food service, facilities, construction, retail, group sales, and customer service operations.​

Alongside his industry leadership, Vinnie has had a long-standing role in higher education, teaching hospitality, recreation, and management courses at Lyndon State College and White Mountains Community College, where he also managed the Resort and Recreation Program. A past Chairman of the Board of the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association and current Resort Operations Director at Owl’s Nest Resort in Thornton, he continues to lead in hospitality while co-owning the historic Bethlehem Trading Post with his wife, Maria. He is also a published creative writer with more than 100 stories to his name.

  • Understand how to effectively communicate as a supervisor

  • Learn to communicate with tact and diplomacy

  • Gain techniques for giving constructive feedback without deflating morale

Confidently Handle Conflict

Session Three l April 13

  • Understand how to motivate your staff

  • Avoid the problems that come with supervising your friends

  • Learn how to manage conflict situations proactively

  • Build confidence in holding difficult conversations

*Participants must attend all three classes to receive the Certificate of Completion.
