My Story
About Trevor:
Trevor is a passionate champion for the future of lodging, carrying New Hampshire’s hospitality excellence to the national stage. He was recently inducted into the prestigious American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) Resort Committee. His induction - marked by a symbolic “passing of the gavel” from his father, Gary Sullivan - underscores his deep commitment to multi-generational leadership and mentorship within the sector. Through his position on the AH&LA national committee and his active involvement with the New England Inns & Resorts Association (NEIRA), Trevor directly advocates for policies, growth strategies, and sustainability measures that support independent resort operators across the region.
The "Spark" that Makes Trevor a Shining Star of the Industry:
A hallmark of Trevor’s management philosophy is his dedicated focus on internal career pathways and comprehensive team development. Because he began his own journey in Human Resources, he treats talent development as a cornerstone of daily operations. Trevor has fostered an exceptionally loyal, tight-knit workplace culture where staff members frequently celebrate decades-long tenures. By empowering his department heads - from culinary leadership to guest services - and providing transparent professional upward mobility, Trevor ensures that his workforce is not just staffed, but deeply invested in the art of hospitality.
On Winning Hotelier of the Year:
"Winning Hotelier of the Year is an incredible honor, and I see it as recognition of the team and property I get to represent every day. At the White Mountain Hotel & Resort, we believe great hospitality is about creating stories worth telling for our guests, our team, and our community. To have that work recognized by my peers across New Hampshire would be something I am very proud of."
