About Andrew:

When Andrew began with us, he had a sales background and had never worked in a restaurant, let alone a kitchen. Look at him now, the general manager of the whole place! It was no easy feat. Andrew put in the hard work and elbow grease it takes to learn an entirely new field, while bringing his customer relations expertise from sales and implementing it here in our restaurant, providing top-notch customer service day after day.

The "Spark" that Makes Them a Shining Star of the Industry:

Andrew demonstrates leadership each day he comes in. First thing he does when he gets here in the morning is check in with the team, make sure everyone is feeling their best, and motivates them to be their best self. He excels at ensuring that the team stays on task and also makes sure that the whole team enjoys their workday, making them want to be here day after day and work as a team. Andrew values every team member. Andrew recognizes hard work and dedication, and is sure to make it known that he appreciates the team. A true selfless leader who wants everyone to succeed and grow.

Whenever a team member gets sick or needs a day off, Andrew personally steps up to the plate and covers for them. Not only is he tasked with managing the restaurant and the team, but he also does a lot of the clerical work behind the scenes to ensure that we have what we need and that operations run smoothly. Andrew is truly one of the most reliable and trustworthy people I have ever met, a good, honest man who puts others and the business before himself.

There is truly nobody else like him, and it is reflected in 603 Bar-B-Q reviews, our work environment, and the success of the business. I can not think of a more deserving person for this award, especially because he started from scratch and demonstrated his work ethic and caring nature, working all the way up to general manager, sticking with us through thick and thin.

"This award would truly be a team award. I am incredibly lucky to have the best supporting cast around me. The crew we have comes in every day and couldn’t work harder, and I’m constantly reminded of that when interacting with our customers. They always go on and on about how great of a crew we have, and that means so much to me.

It means a lot to be able to celebrate this accomplishment with them and look back on all the hard work we’ve accomplished together. If I were to win, this award would be the icing on the cake not just for me, but for the entire team that has helped make everything possible.

It is an absolute honor just to be considered for this award, and I take this recognition with great pride, as I never imagined I would have the opportunity to win something like this.

This recognition has motivated me to work even harder, continue growing, and keep doing what I love most: putting smiles on people’s faces. I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such a hardworking team, and I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished together."
