April 1-30, 2024 will provide students of all ages the opportunity to tour local New Hampshire properties. The hospitality industry is a broad category of fields within the service industry that includes hotels and resorts, event planning, theme parks, marketing and sales, revenue management and pricing, and additional fields within the tourism industry. In 2023, 500 students went on 36 tours at locations ranging from entertainment/ attraction venues, lodging properties, restaurants, and food distributors such as Fisher Cats Stadium, Gunstock Mountain Resort, Mill Falls at the Lake, Popovers Commissary, NH Motor Speedway, and Wentworth by the Sea.
Planning is currently underway for 2024. Locations such as the Appalachian Mountain Club, Fisher Cats Stadium, Grappone Conference Center, Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside, and Wentworth by the Sea are eager to participate. Tour locations are being confirmed daily and if there is a specific place you have in mind, let us know!
This registration is intended to gather interest to match up schools or other groups with local properties. Requests are not guaranteed, but every attempt will be made to accommodate. Each school may preregister for a group of 25 students. Please contact Amie directly if you have a group smaller than five students. Please note some tours are better suited for smaller size groups. Once registrations are received, the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association Education Foundation will schedule the industry tour(s) and provide an email introduction to the main contact at the property being toured.
