New Hampshire GAP Fund
The Governor has authorized the allocation and expenditure of $30M of CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Funds (“flex funds”) for the New Hampshire General Assistance & Preservation (GAP) Fund to provide emergency financial relief to New Hampshire businesses and nonprofit organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but that have been unable to access support from other existing state and federal programs.
Applications for the GAP Fund will open on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, on the GOFERR and BFA websites.
Ask Congress to Support the Blueprint for Restaurant Revival
Later this month, Congress will consider their final coronavirus response bill for 2020. We have made steady progress, but Congress needs to do much more to help us save the nation’s second-largest private-sector employer.
Our partners at NRA conducted a survey last week, and thousands of restaurant operators participated. The top priorities identified from that survey were a $120 billion recovery fund for the sector and a second round of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funding, and so they're at the top of our advocacy agenda. At the same time, we also know it will take more than a one-time check to sustain restaurants in the post-COVID environment.
We've heard you – and working with our partners at NRA we are proud to release our new Blueprint for Revival for the industry. It represents a strong, comprehensive plan for how Congress can advance restaurants in every city and town in this country.
With the Blueprint for Revival, we have given Congress a roadmap for action that addresses our immediate and long-term needs. It calls for the Restaurant Recovery Fund, implementing a targeted second-round of PPP for our industry, and other asks that will help us serve the communities we call home. We need your support to bring this effort over the finish line.
Please take action to share your story and lend your voice to this campaign. Every voice counts, and we have to ensure restaurants and bars are well represented in the final coronavirus relief bill for 2020.
COVID-19 Response Recruitment Portal
Earlier this week, New Hampshire Employment Security launched the COVID-19 Response Recruitment Portal - a new, simple, streamlined approach to connecting job-seekers with employers. It's open now and free of charge for all employers.

Important Survey for Additional Relief
As our industry continues to struggle to survive under the current restrictions, we are sending an appeal to Governor Sununu for additional relief specifically for the hospitality and tourism industry. We need your help in this effort! Please take our 90-second survey and provide us with data to reinforce our case for the need for additional relief money for hospitality businesses. Thank you.
