The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program (HTMP) was developed by industry experts and members of the American Hotel & Lodging Association as the official industry-recognized curriculum to prepare students for roles in the hotel industry and beyond.
The HTMP helps and encourages high school juniors and seniors to take their first real steps towards promising careers. This two year program introduces students to the lodging industry and teaches them the management principles that will enable them to achieve success in a hospitality leadership role. The Educational Institute's new high school curriculum introduces the hospitality and tourism industry on a global scale with a large focus on diversity. Topics covered in the program include an overview of lodging management, front office and housekeeping management, leadership skills, marketing and sales, and food and beverage service. The program is delivered with graphic-rich textbooks, workbooks that give students the opportunity to apply what they've learned and optional online coursework ideal for tech-savvy teens.
Graduates of the Program receive a Certificate of Completion from the Educational Institute. In addition, after the workplace requirement has been met, students are eligible for a professional certification from the Educational Institute. This designation is recognized internationally and is called the Certified Hospitality & Tourism Management Professional (CHTMP).
If you are interested in incorporating the HTMP curriculum in your hospitality program at your educational institution, please contact Mike Somers at email@example.com or 603-228-9585 for more information.
