Portsmouth brewery launches new beer to benefit families of violence victims
By WMUR

A Seacoast brewery is launching a new “Unity” ale to help families of victims in the recent shootings in Orlando and Dallas.

Michael Portorti, owner of Beara Brewing Company in Portsmouth, said he’s been troubled by the amount of unrest in the country recently.

“Everybody's kind of divided,” Portorti said. “We have police officers who were killed, we had the incident in Orlando, which was just horrible and this is just a little something we can do to bring people together, so let’s launch a Unity ale.”

The beer will officially launch on Friday, with a portion of the taproom’s proceeds going to help those families affected by violence.
